Physie is a fun, upbeat sport that fuses dance styles such as jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, aerobic dance and even yoga! Our choreography changes annually and is designed for maximum variety and fun.
Physie (also known as Physical Culture) is the perfect combination of movements designed to increase strength, fitness and flexibility. The benefits are increased coordination, brain development and confidence.
Physie focuses on developing the self-esteem of its students by teaching them to have a positive relationship with their bodies.
Physie is passionate about nurturing students’ total well-being. Physie is an accepting and encouraging team sport, where every member is supported and motivated to be the very best they can be.

Want to learn something new, get fit, and have fun at the same time?
Maybe you have always wanted to try Physie, but you were unsure of how you'd do in the class and worried you wouldn't fit in.?
Our beginner ladies' class is perfect for those wanting to start out. It is a much slower-paced class that teaches the techniques needed for the syllabus.
We have had great feedback in previous years, and many ladies have fallen in love with the sport and have stayed on and continued to this day.
The NSW Government is helping kids get active and creative with the Active Kids and Creative Kids programs. Both programs provide a $50 voucher for parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.
Both vouchers may be used with Speers Point Physie for registration which can be downloaded from the service NSW website.
Here is a video of our 2023 Ladies Intermediate team who placed 4th in A Grade.
Teams are a favourite part of the physie year by many of our members. We are on the floor with all our teammates working together as one (just imagine synchronized swimming on land). This video shows what a team competition is like.
